   – You’re never too old to learn to ski . From selecting the right rental gear to making your way down the mountain with confidence, our adult beginner’s lessons will help you get started with skiing. Give us three days and you’ll be hooked for life.

 

Newcomer :

1. You never skied before

Intermediate skills :

1. You have skied before and can stop or control speed.

2. You are comfortable making turns on easier blue runs.

3. You are beginners to match your skies at the end of each turns .

4. You are matching your skies earlier in each turn. You ski blue and easier blue runs.

Advanced Skills :

1. You match your skies at the beginner of each turn and you ski mostly red runs .

2. You are comfortable to parallel turns with a pole plant on all red or some black runs.

3. You can make refined parallel turns on all red and most black runs.

4. You are looking to improve your confidence in moguls and powder.

5. You make strong , linked parallel turns on all black runs in all snow condition.

 

 

 

 

 

Group ski lessons at R&J Ski School Poiana Brasov

– At a group lesson, R&J ski school gather skiers and snowboarders of a similar level together, cutting costs down. These usually run for 3 or 5 days ( Monday to Friday) for 2 to 4 hours in the morning or the afternoon. Groups tend to be pretty small, comprised of 3 or 5 people and up to 10 ( team building group )

 

Pros: The main advantage of group lessons is their cost as they’re less expensive than private lessons. They’re also a lot more sociable, allowing you to meet new people whose ski level is similar to yours.
Cons: You’ll be sharing your instructor with other people so you won’t get their undivided attention. This means that progression is usually at a slower pace than in private lessons which, in turn, means that group lessons are generally less intense than private ones. You’ll also have to adapt to the group lesson’s dates, times and duration, as they’re usually not available for less than 3 to 5 days.

 

Private ski lessons at R&J Ski School Poiana Brasov

– In private ski lessons, you’ll get an instructor all to yourself. Private instructors can generally accommodate small groups of people, ranging from 1 to 2 persons, so they’re a great option for friends and families as long as everyone’s ski level is more or less the same. R&J Ski School Poiana Brasov usually offer private ski and snowboard lessons for a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of a full day, and you can book them for as many days as you want.

Pros: Having an instructor all to yourself has some great advantages, the main one being that you’ll get more personalised attention so you can improve at your own pace and focus on the skills you want to master or those you struggle more with. Private lessons are also more flexible in time, duration and location than group lessons, so they’re a good option when you want your lesson to start and end at specific times, meet your instructor in a particular place in resort, or book a lesson for just one or two days.

Cons: Private lessons are more expensive than group lessons. However, their cost can be split when sharing your instructor with your friends and family, reducing the price per person considerably. If you’re not after intense technique-based tuition, private instructors are also great for those looking to navigate a new resort and get a few tips on your first days back on the slopes.

 

 

– Personalized instruction for all ages and abilities. Private lessons are offered throughout the day to fit your schedule. Lessons are offered for 2 hours, 3 hours or 4 hours. Maximum 2 people per lesson.  Advanced reservations and pre-payment are encouraged.

Family Private ski lessons at R&J Ski School Poiana Brasov

– Learn to ski together! Up to 2 family members age 7 and older learn together with the same instructor. This is a 2 – 4 hours  lesson for first time skiers .
